![]() I prefer working/hanging out with people from all walks of life with different perspectives and avid passions or hobbies, but have met very few people that stick out or have anything big going on for them. Ridiculous they expect you to live in the NYC with these salaries and work the hours that some of us do.Īs mentioned, many of the people at Wavemaker are genuinely easy to get along with, but almost no one on my larger team 25+ that I would consider anything more than just work friends. I had the lowest $/hr as a senior as you still are heavily involved with the training the newer hires, the extensive day to day, working with upper management, have the longest hours and don't receive any overtime. Would recommend that you work here as an associate and move to another company and boomerang back as a manager. If you think you're doing well at your job with upper leadership support to back it up, that's too bad as GroupM and WM really just don't have any money. Upper leadership has little sway on your salary, it all depends on HR and if you have an outside offer which doesn't really facilitate feelings of employee value from the company. ![]() Standard is $35k for associates with OT, $50k for senior associates no overtime, and $70k for managers with little room to negotiate if you're promoted within the company. I was fortunate enough to have intelligent mentors but talking to other teams I can just see the disparity between my previous teams and their teams. The salary is around 10-20% under market value and as a result attracts less talented employees. Company future very dependent on new accounts received.īiggest con is probably the salary. Be prepared to work late with no OT if you're a sr. Company talent is below average, hard to find mentors. People are very average, not very many exceptional employes. No culture from company due to high turnover, very dependent on the team you join or what you cultivate. Salary is lower than market value, unable to get raises unless you have outside offers. All employees can take up to 19+ days if worked for a full year with directors getting up to 30 days off. Another benefit of working on the larger accounts is that vendors will take you out on outings to get your business.Įmployees have a very flexible vacation days. You also have the ability to work with millions of the dollars which is great experience for someone out of college.įor the most part, people at Wavemaker are extremely easy to get along with typically younger crowd so it's a nice transition from college into the work life. associate, and then a year to two and a half to manager. Also great for moving quickly within the industry as you can typically expect to be promoted after a year to two to a sr. I was able to join one of the biggest accounts Wavemaker has and learned a lot from the people there and genuinely enjoyed working with them. Job is a decent starter job after college with a fun environment and great introduction into the marketing world. Weak leadership (no empathy, no guidance, rude and inappropriate chuckling when staff asks questions, not participating in client calls and meetings, MIA from clients' calls, poor EQ, discouraged and mocked employees on their career ambitions) 2 months wasted on going back and forth on what roles we can actually hire as the salary range that GroupM is able to pay was not even discussed and confirmed properly. FYI, the green light was already given to go ahead to interview people. It's fine if this was clearly discussed and stated at the start to attain mutual consent, but nope, only when constantly chased on this after being promoted without an increment, the increment was then promised but pushed and delayed for >6 months, and one was made to CHOOSE between getting the increment for the team OR letting the money go into hiring a new additional team member to cope with workload. Have to be double promoted in title in order to get pay increment? Doesn't make sense. No appraisal/ plan/ review to discuss matters regarding promotion/ pay increment/ work progress.Payment for rental equipment often delayed no support. Have to use own camera equipment although the bulk of our team's scope of work lies in creative production. ![]() ![]() Staffs are not appreciated, voices not heard.Values preached by HQ not practiced in Singapore.
